We leverage our acquired experience to meet the challenges of modern economies.
We position ourselves as a “full-service” firm capable of mobilizing very reactively in a partnership with our clients based on proximity and trust.
A long-standing partnership with our clients based on closeness and trust
The ADER JOLIBOIS law firm was founded in 1960 by Henri ADER, who was elected head of the bar in 1990, Marc BROSSOLET, and Charles JOLIBOIS, Senator of Maine-et-Loire from 1983 to 2001. It has significantly expanded in France and internationally.
The firm is notably recognized for representing the French State in privatization operations and in resolving international disputes. It has also contributed to the evolution of the legislative framework in various industry sectors and has long been the advisor to industrial groups and media conglomerates.
Since then, the firm has evolved and its positioning has been built around the expertise of its partners in the areas of business law, labor law, tax law, and personal injury law. Our clientele includes businesses of all sizes (start-ups, SMEs, intermediate-sized enterprises, subsidiaries of large groups, CAC 40) across various industrial, commercial, or service sectors.
Effectively meeting your needs for legal service and protection across all jurisdictions
We draw strength from our history and remain true to our spirit of independence, driven by the desire to work together and aiming to guarantee our clients attentive listening, informed advice, and responsiveness, with a special focus on ethics.
The credibility of an attorney is a key factor. We are convinced that it is earned through a personalized, highly entrepreneurial approach and unwavering loyalty, which help establish a trustful relationship with our clients and foster long-term engagements.
Creativity and the exchange of viewpoints are absolutely essential in the search for pragmatic solutions that take into account the legal framework and the specific environment of each case.
We commit to providing the highest quality legal services, marked by the direct and personal involvement of each attorney in our firm and a focus on well-executed work.
We guarantee necessary transparency in our fee policy, in the organization of case handling, and in preventing potential conflicts of interest, with performance pursuit as our driving force.
In accordance with the ethical and legal rules of our profession, our fees are based on the work performed, time spent, the nature and complexity of the case, the renown or specialization of the attorney, the client’s circumstances, the significance of the interests involved, and the services rendered.
Various methods for determining fees may be considered depending on the case. The billing method is subject to an agreement with the client. All our fees are subject to VAT at the legally applicable standard rate.
Billing Based on Time Spent For advisory services, we have implemented billing based on time spent, with the amount determined by the number of hours devoted to the case and an hourly rate. This hourly rate, set at the opening of the case, depends on various parameters, including the difficulty and stakes of the case and the attorney involved. Billing is established monthly with a description of the tasks performed and time spent.
Fixed Fee and Contingency Fee For negotiation or litigation cases where the firm acts on behalf of the client, we offer a contingency fee agreement that includes a fixed fee and a result-based fee (a percentage of the amount of damages or settlement indemnities obtained).
Billing of Expenses Regardless of the billing method applied, we charge our clients (without markup) for expenses incurred by the attorneys involved in the cases, which includes:
Travel expenses (automobile trips are billed based on the current tax schedule)
Various expenses advanced by the firm (court fees, legal expenses, etc.).
The firm does not charge back telephone and photocopying expenses.
